Beto Gomez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomaso Castillero in the 27th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicolás Villalobos to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Murillo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 57th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 60th minute of the match Elias Zambrano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alberto Vergara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Río Rita F.C. booed when María Chiquita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonidas Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in María Chiquita's zone, Nicolás Villalobos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Vergara came out of the goal and Nicolás Villalobos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, María Chiquita's Alberto Vergara got control of the ball when Julio Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alberto Vergara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolás Villalobos in the 67th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julio Murillo got free with Alberto Vergara in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomaso Castillero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Beto Gomez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomaso Castillero struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Beto Gomez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for María Chiquita. Julio Murillo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Alberto Vergara when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nicolás Villalobos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Alberto Vergara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomaso Castillero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Gomez having to interfere. A collision led to Río Rita F.C. getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Franklin Carrillo hit a great ball. Alberto Vergara came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Río Rita F.C.'s Julio Murillo. But to his dismay, Julio Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When the match was over Río Rita F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than María Chiquita throughout the match.
