An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Trejos in the 11th minute of play forced Celmira F.C.'s goalkeeper Sergio Mendieta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Sioguí Arriba's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Orozco came free, but Leonidas Herrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergio Mendieta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Trejos in the 15th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Julio Trejos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Celmira F.C.'s Sergio Mendieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Mora in the 24th minute of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Emanuel Mora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sioguí Arriba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Mora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wiliam Zapata kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Sioguí Arriba's Emanuel Mora got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wiliam Zapata who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Leonidas Herrera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 36 minutes into the match, Sioguí Arriba's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Orozco came free, but Leonidas Herrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Trejos in the 44th minute of play forced Celmira F.C.'s goalkeeper Sergio Mendieta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Sergio Mendieta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Mora, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Sergio Mendieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Mora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Eloy Herbruger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Sioguí Arriba's Emanuel Mora dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Leonidas Herrera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eloy Orozco's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. The audience was convinced that Wiliam Zapata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonidas Herrera was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Wiliam Zapata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Celmira F.C. booed when Sioguí Arriba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Cedeño didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eloy Orozco took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonidas Herrera. The Celmira F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sioguí Arriba's performance. The match ended with a win for Sioguí Arriba.
