Spectators: 6779 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Lorenzo Gil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Barrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Henriguez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Barrera having to make a save. In the 8th minute of the match El Giral got a corner. Tonosí F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Beto Vergara ran over to the corner to take the kick. El Giral's Sergio Ortega got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomás Benavides hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, El Giral's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Henriguez came free, but Miguel Barrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergio Ortega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Pinilla having to interfere. In the 17thth minute of the game Totín Treviño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tonosí F.C.'s Rigoberto Pinilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Tonosí F.C.'s Lorenzo Gil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Barrera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tonosí F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Totín Treviño scored to the left of an out of position Rigoberto Pinilla, making the score, 1-0. Lorenzo Gil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Barrera having to make a save. Max Quintero's late challenge caught a El Giral's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Max Quintero helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th match minute, Tonosí F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Quintero to maneuver through the defense. Sergio Ortega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Rigoberto Pinilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Totín Treviño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rigoberto Pinilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Lorenzo Gil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Barrera having to interfere. Miguel Barrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Henriguez in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Rigoberto Pinilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Ortega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the game, Tomás Cedeño was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tonosí F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Giral the free kick. After 53 played minutes Tonosí F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Cedeño. After having played for 56 minutes, Sergio Ortega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Giral's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Ortega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute of the match, Lorenzo Gil got a very nice opportunity to score, but Miguel Barrera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 67 played minutes Tonosí F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Sebastián De Paredes. The supporters of El Giral booed when Tonosí F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Cedeño didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Tonosí F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Cedeño to maneuver through the defense. El Giral's Beto Vergara couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 74th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tonosí F.C.. In the 78th minute, Lorenzo Gil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Barrera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Miguel Barrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Henriguez in the 86th minute of play. If Lorenzo Gil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Max Quintero hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Tomás Cedeño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Miguel Barrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
