Felix Oberto hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Christian Henriguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Wiliam Gomez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tonosí F.C.'s Christian Henriguez in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 10th minute Juan Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Pinilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Bocas Town fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Bocas Town's Hector Lozano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Juan Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Lozano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rigoberto Pinilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After 28 minutes, Gustavo Escalona mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tonosí F.C. and the Bocas Town players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Bocas Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Fernandez in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rigoberto Pinilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35thth minute of the game Juan Fernandez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tonosí F.C.'s Rigoberto Pinilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tonosí F.C.'s Rigoberto Pinilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Tonosí F.C. from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the match, Tonosí F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Juan Fernandez came free, but Rigoberto Pinilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Hector Lozano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute Christian Henriguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiliam Gomez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 53rd minute, Hector Lozano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute Juan Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Pinilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hector Lozano charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hector Lozano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bocas Town's Hector Lozano got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Tomás Cedeño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 minutes, Juan Fernandez made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Rigoberto Pinilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bocas Town's Monchi Navarro got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rigoberto Pinilla came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Bocas Town's Juan Fernandez. But to his dismay, Juan Fernandez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Tomás Cedeño hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Fernandez in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rigoberto Pinilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bocas Town fully deserved thier win.
