Spectators: 6788 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1788, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hermes Corral took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hermes Corral during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Orlando Paredes kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Azael Escalona in the 9th minute of play forced Escobal's goalkeeper Andrés Torrijos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bethania's zone, Orlando Paredes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos González came out of the goal and Orlando Paredes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos González was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Hector Mendoza capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hector Mendoza really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 18 played minutes Escobal got a freekick which was hit by Victor Tijero. Hermes Corral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrés Torrijos having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bethania's Milton Posam got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Marcos González showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. With a little luck, Bethania's Marcos González got control of the ball when Hector Mendoza tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Christian Cedeño came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Escobal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Cedeño couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Hermes Corral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bethania's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermes Corral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrés Torrijos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Escobal's Orlando Paredes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Paredes to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Hermes Corral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Azael Escalona who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Andrés Torrijos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luchito Herrera kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Victor Tijero kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Andrés Torrijos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermes Corral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bethania's Marcos González played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Cedeño in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bethania's goalkeeper Marcos González, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Bethania defense, Hector Mendoza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos González. The Bethania fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos González should have stopped the shot. Azael Escalona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrés Torrijos having to interfere. Marcos González took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Escobal's Hector Mendoza got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bethania players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Escobal.
