Spectators: 7781 (Terracing: 5836, Seating: 1790, VIP seats: 155) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomaso Pérez kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guillermo Moreno in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilberto De Gracia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Romel Villalaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Guillermo Moreno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto De Gracia. Niupi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guillermo Moreno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Heraclides Morales kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When Romel Vergara fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Niupi FC's protests and gave Romel Vergara a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Niupi FC got a freekick which was hit by Romel Vergara. 31 minutes into the match, Niupi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Moreno came free, but Gilberto De Gracia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Isla Grande got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Quirós. A collision led to Isla Grande getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Guillermo Navarro hit a great ball. Martín Murillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolás Espino having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Niupi FC's Romel Villalaz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nicolás Espino. That made the score 1-1 after 44 minutes of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romel Villalaz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Niupi FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Guillermo Moreno fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 53rd minute Tomaso Pérez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto De Gracia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Isla Grande was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Navarro to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Isla Grande's goal looked a bit too open when Romel Villalaz came free, but Nicolás Espino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto De Gracia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomaso Pérez, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 81st match minute, Isla Grande was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomaso Pérez to maneuver through the defense. Tomaso Pérez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88thth minute of the game Guillermo Moreno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Niupi FC's Gilberto De Gracia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Niupi FC's Romel Villalaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolás Espino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martín Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolás Espino having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
