With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reggie Oberto in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heraclides Quintero saved Margun F.C. from getting behind. Ulpiano Henriguez's late challenge caught a Gariché F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulpiano Henriguez helped the player get up and apologised. Ulpiano Henriguez kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Calito Bultrón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Brandao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Heraclides Quintero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 18 minutes, Calito Bultrón managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Margun F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Calito Bultrón was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francesco Villalaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calito Bultrón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Margun F.C.'s Totin Briceño got a free kick in the 27th minute. Franklin Escobar charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklin Escobar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Franklin Escobar kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Calito Bultrón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Villalaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Totin Smith took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Heraclides Quintero. Margun F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Heraclides Quintero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Brandao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francesco Villalaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Villarreal, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Fernando Brandao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Gariché F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Calito Bultrón to strike the kick off in the second half. Francesco Villalaz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Calito Bultrón went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Ulpiano Henriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Brandao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heraclides Quintero having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gariché F.C.'s zone, Calito Bultrón stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francesco Villalaz came out of the goal and Calito Bultrón tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calito Bultrón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Villalaz having to interfere. Reggie Oberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Heraclides Quintero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Brandao in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute of the match, Reggie Oberto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Heraclides Quintero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Guillermo Alfaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Gariché F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gariché F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
