After a defensive mix-up in New Azorius F.C.'s zone, José Gomez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesar Lao came out of the goal and José Gomez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Monchi Jaen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Pablo Carranza made a huge save. If José Gomez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, New Azorius F.C.'s Monchi Jaen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pablo Carranza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, New Azorius F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when José Gomez came free, but Cesar Lao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Reggie Bermudez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Lao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of New Azorius F.C. booed when Gariché was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reggie Bermudez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, José Gomez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gariché's supporters rose to their feet, but José Gomez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesar Lao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Villalaz in the 28th minute of play forced Gariché's goalkeeper Pablo Carranza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, José Gomez put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cesar Lao. When José Gomez came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Gariché fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Gomez couldn't finish the play. If Reggie Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reggie Bermudez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, New Azorius F.C.'s Lucho Sánchez got a free kick in the 49th minute. In the 50th minute of the match Jaime Dely shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesar Lao showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

After some careless play in the Gariché defense, Monchi Jaen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pablo Carranza. The Gariché fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pablo Carranza should have stopped the shot. Matias Quirós kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Gariché's Jaime Dely couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for New Azorius F.C.. José Gomez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Cesar Lao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Manuel Villalaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pablo Carranza was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Giancarlo Navarro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Cesar Lao made a huge save. Cesar Lao made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Reggie Bermudez sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 91 minutes, José Gomez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gariché's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Gomez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Lucho Sánchez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gariché were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after New Azorius F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Dely took the corner. The corner led Gariché's Enrique Henriguez to fire away a dangerous shot which Cesar Lao despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gariché were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
