New Azorius F.C.'s Cesar Lao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Sánchez in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Chiriquí Grande F.C.'s Alejandro Arias ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cesar Lao. Cesar Lao yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Chiriquí Grande F.C.'s Moisés Sánchez got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramón Arias hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Manuel Villalaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joe Escalona. Chiriquí Grande F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Villalaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Cesar Lao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joe Escalona was a little too slow when Manuel Villalaz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiliam Ramos in the 92nd minute of play forced New Azorius F.C.'s goalkeeper Cesar Lao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alejandro Arias came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Chiriquí Grande F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejandro Arias couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute, Rafael De Diego got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 97 played minutes New Azorius F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lucho Alfaro. Ramón Arias, 98 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Chiriquí Grande F.C. were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
