Victor Quiros kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Pedro Mora charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Mora the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 26 minutes into the match, Boquete F.C.'s Andrés Villarreal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wiliam Lao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Romel García came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Divalá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romel García couldn't finish the play. If David Treviño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Quiros in the 43rd minute of play forced Divalá's goalkeeper Wiliam Lao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes Boquete F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Henriguez.

The referee ignored Boquete F.C.'s protests and gave David Treviño a yellow card for diving instead. Emiliano Henriguez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wiliam Lao having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Andrés Villarreal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wiliam Lao was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 89th match minute, Boquete F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Quiros to maneuver through the defense.
