Ramon Palma didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Río Rita's Radul Kushlev shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. 12 minutes into the match, Río Rita's Giancarlo Escobar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramon Palma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Franklin Herrera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Felipe Posam sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Santa Ana Arriba's Ramon Palma didn't even have to move. In the 18th minute José Amaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Santa Ana Arriba's José Amaya nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonsinho Camargo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Rolando Trejos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Afonsinho Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Río Rita's Giancarlo Escobar in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Río Rita booed when Santa Ana Arriba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heraclides Quintero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santa Ana Arriba's Ramon Palma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giancarlo Escobar in the 33rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giancarlo Escobar in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramon Palma saved Santa Ana Arriba from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giancarlo Escobar in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramon Palma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute, Santa Ana Arriba's Franklin Herrera seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Franklin Herrera the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Santa Ana Arriba protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Franklin Herrera had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 42nd minute, one of Santa Ana Arriba:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Santa Ana Arriba. The referee gave Río Rita a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Giancarlo Escobar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Santa Ana Arriba's Ramon Palma. 1-2. In the 48th minute Giancarlo Escobar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Palma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Santa Ana Arriba players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Río Rita were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Rolando Trejos made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio De Gracia got free with Ramon Palma in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute Giancarlo Escobar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Palma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Río Rita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Posam to maneuver through the defense. After 62 played minutes Santa Ana Arriba got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Quirós. When Cesar Amaya fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Río Rita's protests and gave Cesar Amaya a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Santa Ana Arriba booed when Río Rita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Amaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Santa Ana Arriba's Giancarlo Cedeño tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Santa Ana Arriba's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Calito Arauz scored to the left of an out of position Ramon Palma, making the score, 1-3. Radul Kushlev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Palma having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Rolando Trejos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Radul Kushlev came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Río Rita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radul Kushlev couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Radul Kushlev got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Giancarlo Escobar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Río Rita fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Río Rita's Giancarlo Escobar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 91 played minutes Santa Ana Arriba got a freekick which was hit by Tomaso Escalona. After 92 played minutes, Río Rita's Felipe Posam shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramon Palma came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Río Rita reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Río Rita's zone, Rolando Trejos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonsinho Camargo came out of the goal and Rolando Trejos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santa Ana Arriba:s Ramon Palma showed great skill when he stopped Giancarlo Escobar:s penalty. In the 99th minute Giancarlo Escobar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Palma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Río Rita eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
