Spectators: 8475 (Terracing: 6357, Seating: 1949, VIP seats: 169) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gilberto Ramirez took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Jorge Ramirez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rio Hato FC's Sebastián Treviño was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastián Treviño came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by David FC's Reggie Quintero. But to his dismay, Reggie Quintero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Pablo Quintero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Ramirez in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Tomás Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. David FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rio Hato FC the free kick. In the 12th match minute, David FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Ramos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Rio Hato FC's zone, Jorge Ramirez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastián Treviño came out of the goal and Jorge Ramirez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Totin Gomez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Pablo Quintero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Sebastián Herbruger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David FC's Pablo Quintero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Ramirez in the 29th minute of play. Jorge Ramirez struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Sebastián Treviño didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for David FC. In the 34th minute Jorge Ramirez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Treviño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Mota hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Ramirez in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastián Treviño saved Rio Hato FC from getting behind. Sergio Torrijos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastián Treviño having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, David FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Ramirez came free, but Pablo Quintero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of David FC booed when Rio Hato FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pablo Quintero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Totin Gomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
