The audience was convinced that Humberto Mora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Chavez was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Sebastián Carranza hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. When Eloy Posam came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Caribe F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Posam couldn't finish the play. Julio Chavez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Ríos, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Totin Agurto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, Luis Osorio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hermes Valdez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. C. got a freekick which was hit by Romel Aizprua. Caribe F. C.'s Humberto Mora got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 29 minutes, Humberto Mora mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caribe F. C. and the CABLE ONDA SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Caribe F. C.'s Humberto Mora got a free kick in the 29th minute. Hermes Valdez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heraclides Gomez in the 32nd minute of play. Gilberto Gonzalez kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Heraclides Gomez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Hermes Valdez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Romel Aizprua was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caribe F. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CABLE ONDA SC the free kick. The supporters of CABLE ONDA SC booed when Caribe F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romel Aizprua didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Caribe F. C.'s goalkeeper Hermes Valdez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexis Posam. Sebastián Carranza charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastián Carranza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes CABLE ONDA SC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastián Carranza. 42 minutes into the match, CABLE ONDA SC's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Ríos came free, but Julio Chavez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in CABLE ONDA SC's zone, Humberto Mora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Chavez came out of the goal and Humberto Mora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Humberto Mora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Chavez having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Mora to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Alexis Posam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermes Valdez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Chavez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Ríos in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 82nd match minute, CABLE ONDA SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heraclides Gomez to maneuver through the defense. If Lorenzo Ríos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Chavez made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Azael Gomez sent off a good shot on target. Lorenzo Ríos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Chavez having to interfere.
