Jose Herbruger who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Reinaldo Fernández when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 31 minutes of play, Mortí's Beto González made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luis Gil was left in no man's land by his defense there! Boquerón's Luis Gil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastián De Gracia in the 33rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jose Herbruger kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Reinaldo Fernández. That made the score 1-2 in the 35 minute of play. In the 40th minute Raul Nuñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Gil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mortí booed when Boquerón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Vergara didn't get a good kick on the ball.
