Dolega F.C.'s Orlando Herbruger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Dolega F.C. from getting a goal against them. Orlando Herbruger was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Escalona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. In the 24th minute Ricardo Carrillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Mendoza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dolega F.C.'s Orlando Herbruger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Escalona in the 27th minute of play. When Ricardo Carrillo came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Dolega F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Carrillo couldn't finish the play. Calito Moscoso hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Carrillo in the 33rd minute of play forced Panameños FC's goalkeeper Felix Mendoza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermes Bultrón could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Orlando Herbruger made a huge save. Hermes Bultrón recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orlando Herbruger stood somewhat misplaced when Alberto Escalona came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 48 minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Panameños FC booed when Dolega F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Murillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 played minutes Dolega F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alexis Gómez. Hermes Bultrón recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orlando Herbruger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Escalona, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Orlando Herbruger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Escalona in the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Escalona in the 71st minute of play forced Dolega F.C.'s goalkeeper Orlando Herbruger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 played minutes Dolega F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Andrés Escalona. Alberto Escalona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Dolega F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Escalona came free, but Orlando Herbruger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 played minutes Panameños FC got a freekick which was hit by Giancarlo Urane. Gilberto Agurto struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Felix Mendoza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dolega F.C.. With his leg Felix Mendoza managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Dolega F.C.'s Ricardo Carrillo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Panameños FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dolega F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
