Heraclides Gomez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastián Treviño having to make a save. After 14 played minutes CABLE ONDA SC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Osorio. After recieving a nice pass, Rio Hato FC's Totín Posam tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gilberto Ramirez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Chavez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Julio Chavez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Totin Gomez, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agustin Escobar during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, CABLE ONDA SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Escobar to maneuver through the defense. Julio Chavez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Ramirez, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th match minute, CABLE ONDA SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastián Carranza to maneuver through the defense. After 27 minutes, Rolando González mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rio Hato FC and the CABLE ONDA SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 27 played minutes Rio Hato FC got a freekick which was hit by Rolando González. Rio Hato FC's Sebastián Treviño proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Hato FC from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute, Luis Osorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Totín Posam sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and CABLE ONDA SC's Julio Chavez didn't even have to move. In the 36th minute Gilberto Ramirez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Chavez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rio Hato FC's Luis Barrera got a free kick in the 38th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Ramirez in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Chavez prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The wind increased when Heraclides Gomez made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Heraclides Gomez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Treviño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexis Posam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luis Osorio charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Osorio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th minute, Luis Osorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Chavez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Ramirez in the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in CABLE ONDA SC's zone, Totin Gomez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Chavez came out of the goal and Totin Gomez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Totin Gomez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Chavez having to interfere. When CABLE ONDA SC's Alexis Posam in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rio Hato FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 74th minute, CABLE ONDA SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gilberto Ramirez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 76th minute, Alexis Posam made a precise shot to the right of Sebastián Treviño. Rio Hato FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 81 minutes into the match, CABLE ONDA SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Ramirez came free, but Julio Chavez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Posam in the 82nd minute of play forced Rio Hato FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Treviño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was a well-played corner which Totin Gomez managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 88th minute, Luis Osorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Totin Gomez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Osorio kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Rio Hato FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
