Mortí's Sebastián De Gracia got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reinaldo Fernández stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Ramirez's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Sergio Torrijos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mortí's Reinaldo Fernández. Reinaldo Fernández was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Sergio Torrijos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David FC's Sebastián Herbruger got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reinaldo Fernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Torrijos, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Reinaldo Fernández showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Ramirez in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Sergio Torrijos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Fernández saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Ramirez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Reinaldo Fernández tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mortí booed when David FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastián Herbruger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pablo Quintero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastián De Gracia in the 40th minute. Sebastián De Gracia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Pablo Quintero made a huge save. Raul Nuñez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Sergio Torrijos managed to get in a good position for a shot. David FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergio Torrijos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reinaldo Fernández breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergio Torrijos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Sebastián De Gracia made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. David FC's Pablo Quintero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the David FC defense, Sebastián De Gracia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pablo Quintero. The David FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pablo Quintero should have stopped the shot. After 69 minutes, Rafael Tijero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the David FC and the Mortí players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, Rafael Tijero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When David FC's Jorge Ramirez in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mortí's goalie prevented a goal. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, David FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Nuñez came free, but Pablo Quintero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastián De Gracia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Quintero having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Raul Nuñez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mortí's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Nuñez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastián De Gracia charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastián De Gracia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, Mortí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastián De Gracia to maneuver through the defense. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Mortí were victorious despite being under pressure from David FC for much of the match.
