Gilberto Corral didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 17th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Mota in the 26th minute of play forced Vista Alegre's goalkeeper Gustavo Aizprua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Corral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexis Ramírez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Vista Alegre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 45 minutes into the game, Leonidas Arauz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gilberto Corral. Leonidas Arauz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexis Ramírez to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Caimitillo F.C. getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Jorge Mora hit a great ball. After 54 minutes, Gilberto Spadafora mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caimitillo F.C. and the Vista Alegre players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th minute Alexis Ramírez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Corral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th match minute, Caimitillo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Mota to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the game, Christian Herrera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vista Alegre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caimitillo F.C. the free kick. The supporters of Caimitillo F.C. booed when Vista Alegre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Herrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vista Alegre fully deserved thier win.
