Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Juan Quintero started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Gilberto Corral was a little too slow when Juan Quintero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. A hard shot 6 in the game by Juan Quintero from a close distance when the talented Gilberto Corral managed to make a qualified save. Caimitillo F.C.'s players were relieved. Juan Quintero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Corral having to interfere. Juan Quintero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reinaldo Brandao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Mota in the 31st minute of play. Juan Quintero's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gilberto Corral firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Caimitillo F.C. booed when Boquerón F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Quintero didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Juan Quintero came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Boquerón F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Quintero couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Mota to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Caimitillo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Juan Quintero came free, but Gilberto Corral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boquerón F.C.'s Pablo Carrillo got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd match minute, Boquerón F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Carrillo to maneuver through the defense. If Pedro Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinaldo Brandao was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Pedro Mota capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pedro Mota really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Caimitillo F.C.'s Gilberto Corral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Quintero in the 78th minute of play. Juan Quintero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilberto Corral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Quintero, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 90th minute, Gilberto Spadafora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Quintero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Corral having to interfere. Rolando Amaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Corral having to interfere. Caimitillo F.C. were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Boquerón F.C.'s much stronger midfield.
