In the 5th match minute, Los Algarrobos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastián Ortega to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Los Algarrobos's Edgardo Morris got a free kick in the 6th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Mota in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Peren saved Los Algarrobos from getting behind. In the 8th match minute, Los Algarrobos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milton Treviño to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Barrera during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th minute of the match Carlos Moscoso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilberto Corral skillfully saved the ball. In the 18th minute Raul Morris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Corral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 23 in the game by Edgardo Morris from a close distance when the talented Gilberto Corral managed to make a qualified save. Caimitillo F.C.'s players were relieved. When Pedro Mota came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Caimitillo F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Mota couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raul Morris in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Corral saved Caimitillo F.C. from getting behind. A collision led to Los Algarrobos getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Felix Barrera hit a great ball. The supporters of Los Algarrobos booed when Caimitillo F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Centella didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes in the game, Pedro Mota dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgardo Morris was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Jorge Mora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caimitillo F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Mora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilberto Corral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Morris, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65thth minute of the game Edgardo Morris who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caimitillo F.C.'s Gilberto Corral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute, Jorge Mora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Moscoso, 69 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Edgardo Morris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Algarrobos's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgardo Morris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Corral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the game, Milton Treviño cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gilberto Corral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edgardo Morris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 92 minutes, Edgardo Morris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Algarrobos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
