The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Atalaya's Eduardo Martini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reggie Herrera in the 9th minute of play. Real Panama CF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Tanek Kolbert scored to the left of an out of position Fabio Paredes, making the score, 1-0. After some careless play in the Atalaya defense, Reggie Herrera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduardo Martini. The Atalaya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduardo Martini should have stopped the shot. Fabio Paredes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franklin Fernández in the 18th minute. Tanek Kolbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Fabio Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pablo Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Panama CF's goalkeeper Fabio Paredes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th match minute, Real Panama CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martín Arias to maneuver through the defense. Franklin Fernández received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Fabio Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Max Torrijos kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Eduardo Martini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolás García, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the game, Real Panama CF's Reggie Herrera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduardo Martini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 45th minute, Nicolás García left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Panama CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After the first half Real Panama CF were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pablo Paredes was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Nicolás Zapata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atalaya's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolás Zapata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Paredes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabio Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tanek Kolbert in the 57th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Real Panama CF's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Paredes came free, but Fabio Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Real Panama CF's Reggie Herrera got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, Pablo Paredes notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Real Panama CF's Fabio Paredes. Fabio Paredes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Atalaya's Max Torrijos got a free kick in the 69th minute. Eduardo Martini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reggie Herrera in the 71st minute of the match. Guillermo Arauz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francesco Zapata could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Eduardo Martini made a huge save. Eduardo Martini made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Francesco Zapata sent off a good shot on target. Nicolás García received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Eduardo Martini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reggie Herrera in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Martini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Real Panama CF's Reggie Herrera got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Francesco Zapata notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Atalaya's Eduardo Martini. Eduardo Martini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 96th minute Franklin Fernández shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Paredes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Panama CF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
