Heraclides Palma hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Tello in the 5th minute of play forced Atalaya's goalkeeper Eduardo Martini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Martini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Tello, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Atalaya's Eduardo Martini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heraclides Palma in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Atalaya's goal looked a bit too open when Heraclides Palma came free, but Eduardo Martini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute Muhittin Terzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Martini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carta Vieja F.C.'s Clodoveo Isaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Fernández in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Tanek Kolbert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atalaya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tanek Kolbert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Totin Garcia De Paredes hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. If Heraclides Palma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atalaya's Eduardo Martini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heraclides Palma in the 27th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Totin Garcia De Paredes during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Atalaya's Totin Garcia De Paredes got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Pablo Paredes came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Atalaya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Paredes couldn't finish the play. After 30 played minutes Atalaya got a freekick which was hit by Nicolás Zapata. Remigio Eguzki hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute Hector Sobenis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Martini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carta Vieja F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rafael Tello in the 36th minute. A nice corner shot did that Rafael Tello got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eduardo Martini quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 39th minute, Hector Sobenis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Martini was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Eduardo Martini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Heraclides Palma went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pablo Paredes made a kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Carta Vieja F.C.'s goalkeeper Clodoveo Isaio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eduardo Martini made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Rafael Tello sent off a good shot on target. Tanek Kolbert's late challenge caught a Carta Vieja F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tanek Kolbert helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Hector Sobenis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Heraclides Palma struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Eduardo Martini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carta Vieja F.C.. Rafael Tello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Eduardo Martini made a huge save. In the 79th match minute, Carta Vieja F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Batista to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Tello got free with Eduardo Martini in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Clodoveo Isaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After taking down the ball on Atalaya's corner Pablo Paredes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Clodoveo Isaio quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Américo Pinilla put it in 2-4 from a short distance just to the right of Clodoveo Isaio. After some careless play in the Carta Vieja F.C. defense, Tanek Kolbert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clodoveo Isaio. The Carta Vieja F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clodoveo Isaio should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Franklin Fernández managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atalaya's supporters rose to their feet, but Franklin Fernández was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clodoveo Isaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute, Carta Vieja F.C.'s Hector Sobenis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eduardo Martini. Eduardo Martini yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Carta Vieja F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
