In the 7th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Palma to maneuver through the defense. When Hector Escobar came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Vego F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Escobar couldn't finish the play. Jaime Gómez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Garcia in the 10th minute. Jaime Gómez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hector Escobar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. Edgardo Henriguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Jaime Gómez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vego F.C.'s Hector Escobar got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Alex Garcia took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Jaime Gómez to make any attempt to save it. Alex Garcia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jaime Gómez having to make a save. Boca Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Alex Garcia scored to the left of an out of position Jaime Gómez, making the score, 4-0. A throw-in in the 41st minute of the game was made by Christian Garcia De Paredes with Enrique Quintero as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 43 minutes into the match, Vego F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zühtü Gelenbe came free, but Germán Burgos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Zühtü Gelenbe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Germán Burgos was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zühtü Gelenbe made a kick off. Zühtü Gelenbe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Germán Burgos having to make a save. Zühtü Gelenbe's late challenge caught a Vego F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zühtü Gelenbe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Zühtü Gelenbe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime Gómez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Escobar in the 56th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Cheito Nuñez. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vego F.C. fully deserved thier win.
