In the 14th minute Hector Escobar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Henríguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germán Burgos went to the wrong direction when Ulpiano Paredes was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A collision led to OSO F.C. getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Eloy Herbruger hit a great ball. Miguel Ortega hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Hector Escobar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jose Henríguez. OSO F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hector Escobar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 39th minute, Joe Briceño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th match minute, Vego F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Henriguez to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Romel Peren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OSO F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.

The wind increased when Romel Peren made the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Vego F.C.'s Jose Henríguez threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hector Escobar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jose Henríguez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgardo Henriguez in the 52nd minute. In the 56th match minute, Vego F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Muñoz to maneuver through the defense. The corner ended in Hector Espino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vego F.C.'s Germán Burgos did a great save. After 70 minutes, Mario Herrera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vego F.C. and the OSO F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mario Herrera hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Vego F.C.'s Edgardo Henriguez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. If Rigoberto Gomez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Escobar struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Jose Henríguez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vego F.C.. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Garcia in the 89th minute of play forced OSO F.C.'s goalkeeper Jose Henríguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Hector Escobar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vego F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Escobar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Henríguez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgardo Henriguez scored 2-4 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jose Henríguez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Vego F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
