A nice corner shot did that Rune Arvidsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jerzy Jajesniak quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 22 minutes into the game, Philipp Lahm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Plaza Amador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciencias FC the free kick. Philipp Lahm hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Eloy Gil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute Rosendo Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Jajesniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerzy Jajesniak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Gil in the 30th minute of play. Jerzy Jajesniak came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Ciencias FC's Eloy Gil. But to his dismay, Eloy Gil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 35th minute Eusebiu Spirea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Jajesniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute Rosendo Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Jajesniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerzy Jajesniak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Arvidsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rosendo Ugutz in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerzy Jajesniak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the match, CD Plaza Amador's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Ugutz came free, but Jerzy Jajesniak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomero Gau charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomero Gau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to CD Plaza Amador getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Baldomero Gau hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Ciencias FC booed when CD Plaza Amador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philipp Lahm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerzy Jajesniak made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Rosendo Ugutz sent off a good shot on target. 62 minutes into the match, Ciencias FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ersen Cakir came free, but Silvestre Henriques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eusebiu Spirea was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. Ciencias FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 66 minutes into the match, Rosendo Ugutz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jerzy Jajesniak. CD Plaza Amador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rosendo Ugutz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Jerzy Jajesniak acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 70th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Chano Carrete. After 74 played minutes Ciencias FC got a freekick which was hit by Rune Arvidsson. A collision led to Ciencias FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ulryk Trojanowski hit a great ball. Silvestre Henriques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucho Briceño's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Alejandro Zapata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvestre Henriques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Zapata in the 86th minute of the match. Jerzy Jajesniak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Ugutz in the 89th minute of play. Philipp Lahm kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Ciencias FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ciencias FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
