Raul Pimentel hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Emiliano Pérez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Silvestre Henriques made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Gil in the 19th minute of play forced Atalaya F.C.'s goalkeeper Emiliano Zapata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luchito Briceño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Henriques having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Manuel Tijero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cheito Zapata hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32nd match minute, Ciencias FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Arvidsson to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the game, Eusebiu Spirea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Emiliano Zapata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rosendo Ugutz to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eloy Gil got free with Emiliano Zapata in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciencias FC's Eusebiu Spirea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emiliano Zapata. That made the score 0-5 after 73 minutes of play. Emiliano Zapata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Ugutz in the 79th minute of play. Emiliano Zapata didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eloy Gil went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Manuel Tijero struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Silvestre Henriques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atalaya F.C.. With an all-out effort, Ciencias FC's Emiliano Zapata threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rosendo Ugutz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Manuel Tijero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Henriques having to interfere.
