The Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Veracruz F.C. getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jonathan Treviño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Moscoso in the 39th minute of play. Ang Reifer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Jonathan Treviño made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andreas Hedström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Veracruz F.C.'s Gilvan Cordeiro got a free kick in the 51st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ken Van Den Hout managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ken Van Den Hout was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Veracruz F.C. booed when Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Hedström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Veracruz F.C.'s Rafael Ramos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Veracruz F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 63rdth minute of the game Andreas Hedström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Veracruz F.C.'s Rafael Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Andreas Hedström sped through Veracruz F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafael Ramos. After 66 played minutes Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC got a freekick which was hit by Pau Kubarskiy. Charly Tevez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Treviño read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute of the match Veracruz F.C. got a corner. Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Francesco Carrillo ran over to the corner to take the kick. 75 minutes into the match, Veracruz F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Georg Termander came free, but Rafael Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 81 in the game by Rambo Durán from a close distance when the talented Rafael Ramos managed to make a qualified save. Veracruz F.C.'s players were relieved. Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's Jonathan Treviño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ang Reifer in the 84th minute of play. Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's Tomás Herrera was substituted for Andreas Hedström. 90 minutes into the match, Veracruz F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Herrera came free, but Rafael Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Tomás Herrera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Rafael Ramos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
