Thanks to some nice moves Machado Guais could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Ataulfo Cantalapiedra however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Pena in the 28th minute of play forced Caples's goalkeeper Lopez Amileta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Barza FC booed when Caples was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan-Carlos Cascallana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romulo Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lopez Amileta having to interfere. With a little luck, Barza FC's Ataulfo Cantalapiedra got control of the ball when Machado Guais tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lisandro Ubach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ataulfo Cantalapiedra was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Machado Guais showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 44 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Lisandro Ubach came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lopez Amileta could save by the left post. Caples's Machado Guais got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caples's Rubio Vigo got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Barza FC's Xzaver Padierna got a free kick in the 59th minute. Rubio Vigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ataulfo Cantalapiedra having to interfere. A collision led to Caples getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Juan-Carlos Cascallana hit a great ball. With a little luck, Caples's Lopez Amileta got control of the ball when Lisandro Ubach tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romulo Pena struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Lopez Amileta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barza FC. The supporters of Caples booed when Barza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Arri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Machado Guais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caples's supporters crossed their fingers, but Machado Guais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Machado Guais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Machado Guais in the 93rd minute of play forced Barza FC's goalkeeper Ataulfo Cantalapiedra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Machado Guais came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Caples fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Machado Guais couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
