Victorio Yurrita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Cordaryal in the 3rd minute of play. Victorio Yurrita came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by LIGA DE QUITO's Romulo Caseres. But to his dismay, Romulo Caseres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 11 minutes into the game, LIGA DE QUITO's Joel Cordaryal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victorio Yurrita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 16th minute Joel Cordaryal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Yurrita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, LIGA DE QUITO's Xacintu Pozo got control of the ball when Justavino Castaosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Coca Cola FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cheb Bouazza came free, but Victorio Yurrita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfonso Gandarillas hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Joel Cordaryal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Victorio Yurrita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Eelco van Basten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Cordaryal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victorio Yurrita having to make a save. Eelco van Basten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 minutes, Gonzales Peñafiel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coca Cola FC and the LIGA DE QUITO players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Coca Cola FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gonzales Peñafiel hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Gandarillas made a kick off. If Eelco van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice moves Joel Cordaryal could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Victorio Yurrita however easily saved by the left post. Moises Plata hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The supporters of LIGA DE QUITO booed when Coca Cola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Plata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorio Yurrita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Escrig in the 60th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as LIGA DE QUITO's Angelino Dabi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Victorio Yurrita. That made the score 0-4 after 61 minutes of play. In the 66th minute, Eelco van Basten fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 69 minutes, Eelco van Basten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LIGA DE QUITO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eelco van Basten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorio Yurrita made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Cheb Bouazza sent off a good shot on target. Joel Cordaryal in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Victorio Yurrita, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Joel Cordaryal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Victorio Yurrita made a huge save. Joel Cordaryal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Victorio Yurrita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Moises Plata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coca Cola FC and the LIGA DE QUITO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victorio Yurrita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Cordaryal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorio Yurrita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Cordaryal in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded LIGA DE QUITO left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Coca Cola FC.
