Botello Cavadas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Santibañez in the 4th minute. Gerardo Santibañez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Botello Cavadas made a huge save. The C. D Leones fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when C. D Leones's Gerardo Santibañez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, Barcelona's Botello Cavadas got control of the ball when Gerardo Santibañez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Gerardo Santibañez managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. D Leones's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Santibañez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Botello Cavadas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Botello Cavadas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Tendiero in the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Jacobo Canton notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of C. D Leones's Benedykt Pracki. Benedykt Pracki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, C. D Leones's Christian Monterrey got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute of the match Alfredo Di Stéfano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benedykt Pracki showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Jacobo Canton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Benedykt Pracki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benedykt Pracki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Vigalondo in the 40th minute of play. After 42 minutes of play, Barcelona's Gabriel Agriano made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benedykt Pracki was left in no man's land by his defense there! 48 minutes into the match, Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Santibañez came free, but Botello Cavadas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerardo Santibañez in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Botello Cavadas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benedykt Pracki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xurde Pañizares, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Santibañez in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Botello Cavadas saved Barcelona from getting behind. In the 66th minute Jacobo Canton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedykt Pracki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Christian Monterrey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C. D Leones's Benedykt Pracki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save C. D Leones from getting a goal against them. Christian Monterrey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roberto Vigalondo struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Benedykt Pracki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barcelona. In the 78th minute Jairo Baragaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedykt Pracki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerardo Santibañez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Botello Cavadas having to interfere. After 84 minutes, Jesus Gayoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. D Leones and the Barcelona players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute, Jesus Gayoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jairo Baragaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Jacobo Canton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benedykt Pracki. The goal made the score 1-6. Roldan Hervas's late challenge caught a Barcelona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roldan Hervas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, C. D Leones's Roldan Hervas got a free kick in the 94th minute. Benedykt Pracki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xurde Pañizares in the 95th minute of play. Jacobo Canton's late challenge caught a C. D Leones's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacobo Canton helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of C. D Leones booed when Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Canton didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Barcelona walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
