Spectators: 6478 (Terracing: 5478, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Isaias Castellana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guamán Marroquin hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Quiñónez Salvadores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Castellana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. López Aubets was a little too slow when Virila Fontan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Jonatan Villayuste had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of López Aubets. CD Sangolqui's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonatan Villayuste was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Virila Fontan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Omar Belorado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quiñónez Salvadores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zilar Lampez went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, CD Sangolqui's López Aubets got control of the ball when Jonatan Villayuste tried to sneak it across the goal line. Quiñónez Salvadores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Riego in the 31st minute of play. Jonatan Villayuste's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but López Aubets read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. López Aubets didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonatan Villayuste went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Riego in the 42nd minute of play forced Los Chuzos's goalkeeper Quiñónez Salvadores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 played minutes CD Sangolqui got a freekick which was hit by Xusto Ciaran. With his leg López Aubets managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Los Chuzos's Jonatan Villayuste fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Los Chuzos's Guamán Marroquin got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jonatan Villayuste made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virila Fontan in the 56th minute of play forced CD Sangolqui's goalkeeper López Aubets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. López Aubets came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Chuzos's Omar Belorado. But to his dismay, Omar Belorado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virila Fontan in the 61st minute of play forced CD Sangolqui's goalkeeper López Aubets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Isaias Castellana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Sangolqui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Chuzos the free kick. In the 62nd minute, Isaias Castellana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, CD Sangolqui's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Villayuste came free, but López Aubets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in CD Sangolqui's zone, Omar Belorado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. López Aubets came out of the goal and Omar Belorado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CD Sangolqui's López Aubets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zenaido Londoño in the 79th minute of play. Ximeno Villares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without López Aubets having to interfere.
