Socotroco FC's Xavieon Marimon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Mendizabal in the 3rd minute of play. Xavieon Marimon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Quiles in the 4th minute of the match. Socotroco FC's Chucho Via got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to CD Coca getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Marin Quiles hit a great ball. Eugenio Labiaga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chucho Via in the 12th minute. A collision led to Socotroco FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Xacobo Acenero hit a great ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Chucho Via managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Socotroco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chucho Via was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th match minute, Socotroco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Villaseca to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, CD Coca's goalkeeper Eugenio Labiaga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chucho Via. Eugenio Labiaga made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Chucho Via sent off a good shot on target. Eugenio Labiaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ayoví Zornoza, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Marin Quiles made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ayoví Zornoza in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugenio Labiaga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eugenio Labiaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chucho Via in the 54th minute of the match. Lorenzo Mendizabal's late challenge caught a Socotroco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo Mendizabal helped the player get up and apologised. Ayoví Zornoza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Eugenio Labiaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Lorenzo Mendizabal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Xavieon Marimon. The goal made the score 1-2. Xavieon Marimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Mendizabal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodoro Villaseca got his second yellow card in the match during the 73rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. If Chucho Via had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ayoví Zornoza in the 82nd minute of play forced CD Coca's goalkeeper Eugenio Labiaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chucho Via sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Socotroco FC's Ayoví Zornoza got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, CD Coca's goal looked a bit too open when Chucho Via came free, but Eugenio Labiaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Fernando Lozada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Socotroco FC fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Socotroco FC's Chucho Via looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Chucho Via's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugenio Labiaga was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
