After having played for 3 minutes, Bustos Cianca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Deportivo Filanbanco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bustos Cianca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Klimowicz Santisteban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bustos Cianca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. González Quexada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind THE TEMPLARS's goalkeeper González Quexada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Duarte Azcunaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zavier Medel in the 14th minute of play. Omar Junco hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Filanbanco's goal looked a bit too open when Zavier Medel came free, but Duarte Azcunaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klimowicz Santisteban in the 19th minute of play forced THE TEMPLARS's goalkeeper González Quexada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duarte Azcunaga made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Yánez Morquera sent off a good shot on target. When Yánez Morquera came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the THE TEMPLARS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yánez Morquera couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the match, Zavier Medel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Duarte Azcunaga. Club Deportivo Filanbanco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zavier Medel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Duarte Azcunaga made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Yánez Morquera sent off a good shot on target. When Carlos-Armando Cabuerniga fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Filanbanco's protests and gave Carlos-Armando Cabuerniga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Carlos-Armando Cabuerniga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, Bustos Cianca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of González Quexada. THE TEMPLARS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bustos Cianca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 44 minutes into the game, Valerio Nieto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. THE TEMPLARS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Deportivo Filanbanco the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of THE TEMPLARS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Deportivo Filanbanco:s goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Klimowicz Santisteban stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Alonso Caldas fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored THE TEMPLARS's protests and gave Alonso Caldas a yellow card for diving instead. Alonso Caldas kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Yánez Morquera struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Duarte Azcunaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for THE TEMPLARS. Yánez Morquera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yánez Morquera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Duarte Azcunaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yánez Morquera in the 73rd minute of play forced Club Deportivo Filanbanco's goalkeeper Duarte Azcunaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel Olanda charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angel Olanda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, THE TEMPLARS's Angel Olanda got a free kick in the 76th minute. Bustos Cianca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without González Quexada having to interfere. González Quexada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klimowicz Santisteban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yánez Morquera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Duarte Azcunaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zavier Medel in the 83rd minute of play. THE TEMPLARS's Zavier Medel got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Deportivo Filanbanco's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
