Lucio Chavarri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Xinto Monroy. CD Tiki's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bustos Cianca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Xinto Monroy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Klimowicz Santisteban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Peter Olanda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Deportivo Filanbanco's Bustos Cianca managed to work through CD Tiki's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bustos Cianca dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 15 played minutes CD Tiki got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Cerrudemos. After having played for 16 minutes, Klimowicz Santisteban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Deportivo Filanbanco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klimowicz Santisteban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 19 played minutes CD Tiki got a freekick which was hit by Peter Olanda. If Klimowicz Santisteban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zuberoa Biñe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Duarte Azcunaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Enrique Amestoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Tiki's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Amestoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duarte Azcunaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duarte Azcunaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zuberoa Biñe in the 33rd minute of play. When Jaime Capellan fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Tiki's protests and gave Jaime Capellan a yellow card for diving instead. Jaime Capellan kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, CD Tiki's goal looked a bit too open when Klimowicz Santisteban came free, but Xinto Monroy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Zuberoa Biñe made the kick off in the second half. Bustos Cianca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Zuberoa Biñe managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Tiki's supporters rose to their feet, but Zuberoa Biñe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duarte Azcunaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xinto Monroy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klimowicz Santisteban, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Club Deportivo Filanbanco's Carlos-Armando Cabuerniga got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee ignored CD Tiki's protests and gave Daniel Fontoria a yellow card for diving instead. Club Deportivo Filanbanco played a much better game than CD Tiki and deserved their victory. The CD Tiki players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
