Spectators: 6689 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gómez Carrasco kicked off to start the match. Eugenio Tene fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stacio Sabando having to interfere. Stacio Sabando made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Bernardo Celama sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, CD Guachanama's Hugo Ceballos got a free kick in the 13th minute. Stacio Sabando was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Eugenio Tene capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eugenio Tene really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CD Guachanama! The goalkeeper, Stacio Sabando, was totally fooled by CD Zumbahua's Manolo Omente, who 22 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Bernardo Celama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Stacio Sabando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Celama struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Stacio Sabando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Zumbahua. If Corozo Pernau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute Corozo Pernau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guamán Cires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guamán Cires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corozo Pernau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CD Zumbahua's Guamán Cires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corozo Pernau in the 44th minute of play. Leonardo Nanclares hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

52 minutes into the match, CD Guachanama's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Celama came free, but Stacio Sabando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corozo Pernau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in CD Guachanama's zone, Bernardo Celama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stacio Sabando came out of the goal and Bernardo Celama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, CD Zumbahua's Eugenio Tene sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stacio Sabando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leonardo Nanclares charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Nanclares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 63 played minutes CD Zumbahua got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Nanclares. Corozo Pernau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Guamán Cires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenio Tene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Celama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Stacio Sabando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Celama in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stacio Sabando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kaviedes Portilla hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. CD Zumbahua's Eugenio Tene got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Bernardo Celama managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Zumbahua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Celama was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bernardo Celama came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the CD Zumbahua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Celama couldn't finish the play. A collision led to CD Guachanama getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Kaviedes Portilla hit a great ball. When Corozo Pernau came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the CD Guachanama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corozo Pernau couldn't finish the play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
