Spectators: 6689 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 0) John Azpilcueta made the kick off and thus started the match. Cántaro Peñalba made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Eugenio Tene sent off a good shot on target. Bernardo Celama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Cántaro Peñalba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Celama who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Cántaro Peñalba when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 15 played minutes Dueta got a freekick which was hit by Wilmer Morante. Bernardo Celama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cántaro Peñalba having to interfere. John Azpilcueta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guamán Cires having to make a save. If John Azpilcueta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guamán Cires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Azpilcueta in the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Bernardo Celama managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Zumbahua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Celama was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Eugenio Tene got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CD Zumbahua's Guamán Cires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nacho Madrigal in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugenio Tene made a kick off. Vilson Cancel hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Nacho Madrigal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. John Azpilcueta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd play minute Nacho Madrigal came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Guamán Cires. 0-1. Cántaro Peñalba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugenio Tene's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Nacho Madrigal's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Guamán Cires firmly grabbed it by the left post. Eugenio Tene received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Cántaro Peñalba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nacho Madrigals short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Guamán Cires to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 80 minutes into the game, Leonardo Nanclares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Zumbahua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dueta the free kick. In the 80th match minute, CD Zumbahua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Nanclares to maneuver through the defense. CD Zumbahua's Guamán Cires proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save CD Zumbahua from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, Vilson Cancel made a precise shot to the right of Cántaro Peñalba. Dueta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Bernardo Celama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cántaro Peñalba having to interfere. In the 93rdth minute of the game Bernardo Celama who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dueta's Cántaro Peñalba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cántaro Peñalba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Celama in the 95th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in CD Zumbahua's zone, Nacho Madrigal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guamán Cires came out of the goal and Nacho Madrigal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
