Spectators: 6678 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Chatruc Celama kicked off to start the match. William Camus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Aragon in the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Chatruc Celama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th match minute, CD Cornejo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viator Olate to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the game, CD Cornejo's Augusto Aragon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. William Camus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Augusto Aragon came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the CD Cornejo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Aragon couldn't finish the play. In the 27th match minute, CS Emelec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aguinaga Gallinar to maneuver through the defense. William Camus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Aragon in the 36th minute of play. When Aguinaga Gallinar fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CS Emelec's protests and gave Aguinaga Gallinar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of CD Cornejo booed when CS Emelec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aguinaga Gallinar didn't get a good kick on the ball. William Camus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chatruc Celama in the 39th minute of the match. Costante Loranca's late challenge caught a CS Emelec's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Costante Loranca helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st minute, one of CD Cornejo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CD Cornejo. The referee gave CS Emelec a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lucio Rocha, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CD Cornejo's Cesar Souto. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

51 minutes into the match, CS Emelec's goalkeeper William Camus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Videl Aviles. William Camus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chatruc Celama, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Chatruc Celama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to CS Emelec getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Velasco Casiano hit a great ball. CD Cornejo's Ramirez Mariaza couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for CS Emelec. William Camus was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Chatruc Celama capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Chatruc Celama really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Chatruc Celama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Camus having to interfere. CD Cornejo's Videl Aviles pulled a muscle in his leg after 75 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Velasco Casiano's late challenge caught a CD Cornejo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Velasco Casiano helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to CS Emelec getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Velasco Casiano hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Augusto Aragon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of William Camus. The goal made the score 1-3. If Xaime Somavilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 played minutes CD Cornejo got a freekick which was hit by Veto Erazo. William Camus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Aragon in the 87th minute. Augusto Aragon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Augusto Aragon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asencio Olano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Camus having to interfere. The CS Emelec fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CD Cornejo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
