Moreno Zamarro came out of the goal and Garcés Lino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moreno Zamarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carabalí Olaverrieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 14th minute, Asencio Vallejo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 played minutes CantaGallo got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Surco. Garcés Lino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Moreno Zamarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the game, Pedro Lorencio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CantaGallo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gacela FC the free kick. A collision led to CantaGallo getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Mateo Asenjo hit a great ball. Moreno Zamarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateo Asenjo in the 40th minute of the match. After 42 played minutes, CantaGallo's Carabalí Olaverrieta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Moreno Zamarro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CantaGallo reached it. When Mateo Asenjo came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the CantaGallo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateo Asenjo couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gacela FC's goalkeeper Moreno Zamarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mateo Asenjo to strike the kick off in the second half. Humberto Surco hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the game, Humberto Surco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CantaGallo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gacela FC the free kick. Humberto Surco kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. If Libertad Nieto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th match minute, CantaGallo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Lorencio to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes CantaGallo got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Lorencio. Mateo Asenjo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th minute, Leo Deco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Many of CantaGallo's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. CantaGallo may have spent more time on the ball, but Gacela FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
