Spectators: 6784 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 100) Ambrossi Malta started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th match minute, Digna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by René Arri to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Solares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzales Iranzo's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Fernandez Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Franklin Barrena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Gonzales Iranzo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Digna's Ricardo Solares. Ricardo Solares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ambrossi Malta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonzales Iranzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Solares having to interfere. Ricardo Solares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corozo Ruesga in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Digna getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. René Arri hit a great ball. In the 42ndth minute of the game Gonzales Iranzo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Digna's Ricardo Solares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fernandez Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Franklin Barrena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gonzales Iranzo during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute, Gonzales Iranzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Franklin Barrena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrossi Malta in the 59th minute of the match. Gonzales Iranzo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Ricardo Solares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ambrossi Malta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Franklin Barrena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, CS. EMELEC's Vicente Mauriz got a free kick in the 65th minute. Franklin Barrena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrossi Malta in the 66th minute of the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Fernandez Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Digna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandez Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute, Corozo Ruesga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Solares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corozo Ruesga in the 73rd minute of play. When Fernandez Machado came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Digna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandez Machado couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute Ambrossi Malta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Barrena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Digna's goalkeeper Ricardo Solares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Mauriz. A collision led to CS. EMELEC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Vicente Mauriz hit a great ball. Franklin Barrena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ambrossi Malta's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Fernandez Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franklin Barrena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Digna players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
