The penalty shot was made by Marcel Angelescu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Esmeraldas Petrolero's Ysidro Quijano. 0-3. 25 minutes into the match, Esmeraldas Petrolero's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolás Abadie came free, but Ysidro Quijano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Nicolás Abadie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Esmeraldas Petrolero defense, Nicolás Abadie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ysidro Quijano. The Esmeraldas Petrolero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ysidro Quijano should have stopped the shot. Danilo Sangra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ysidro Quijano having to interfere. In the 65th minute of the match Aun sigues llorando got a corner. Esmeraldas Petrolero's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mane Suesa ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Mane Suesa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Esmeraldas Petrolero's Ysidro Quijano did a great save. Nicolás Abadie's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Ysidro Quijano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Nicolás Abadie put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Ysidro Quijano. Nicolás Abadie in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
