An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Ghimiș in the 15th minute of play forced Corral's goalkeeper Romeo Clavijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeo Clavijo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandez Barrieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes, Dario Espinosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corral and the Dundee UTD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Corral was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Espinosa to maneuver through the defense. Martinez Ucero scored 1-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Engebakken, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 33 minutes into the match, Corral's goal looked a bit too open when Traian Ghimiș came free, but Romeo Clavijo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Traian Ghimiș made a precise shot to the right of Romeo Clavijo. Corral's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Enrique Moyua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Corral's Dario Espinosa got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Corral's Romeo Clavijo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Moyua in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Dario Espinosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Clavijo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xayvion Juara in the 62nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Corral's Romeo Clavijo got control of the ball when Traian Ghimiș tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute Enrique Moyua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Clavijo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Enrique Moyua kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romeo Clavijo. That made the score 1-2 in the 69 minute of play. When Dundee UTD's Traian Ghimiș in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corral's goalie prevented a goal. A hard and well directed shot from Enrique Moyua led 84 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Corral's Romeo Clavijo became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-3. After 87 minutes, Tenorio Dagora mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corral and the Dundee UTD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th minute, Xuaco Represa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corral were furious when Braulio Quirze was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Corral fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! Enrique Moyua shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Vera Cercalde hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the match was over Dundee UTD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Corral throughout the match.
