After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Urrutia Anievas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sotomayor's supporters rose to their feet, but Urrutia Anievas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romero Monzon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. CODIGO 7's Romero Monzon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbez Anton in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Federico Guztros made a precise shot to the right of Romero Monzon. CODIGO 7's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 23rd minute Urbez Anton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romero Monzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in CODIGO 7's zone, Urbez Anton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romero Monzon came out of the goal and Urbez Anton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Urbez Anton might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romero Monzon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Urbez Anton ran back to his position shaking his head. When Arman Kadrican came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the CODIGO 7 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arman Kadrican couldn't finish the play. Urbez Anton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Romero Monzon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, one of CODIGO 7:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CODIGO 7. The goalkeeper, Romero Monzon, was totally fooled by Sotomayor's Xamin Zubieta, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. CODIGO 7's Romero Monzon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbez Anton in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urbez Anton to make the kick off. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind CODIGO 7's goalkeeper Romero Monzon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
