Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos-Alberto Bojorquez started the match with the kick off. When Zunbeltz Sevane fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Emelec's protests and gave Zunbeltz Sevane a yellow card for diving instead. Zunbeltz Sevane kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Xinaro Brugos might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teo Regil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xinaro Brugos ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos-Alberto Bojorquez in the 21st minute of play forced Emelec's goalkeeper Neicer Bueres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teo Regil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xinaro Brugos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Murillo Langarica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 28 minutes, Segundo Zalon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CD Yungulla and the Emelec players grew even worse after the yellow card. Segundo Zalon kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Neicer Bueres made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Leon Ascarraga sent off a good shot on target. Xinaro Brugos charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xinaro Brugos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd match minute, Emelec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xinaro Brugos to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as CD Yungulla's Vilson Laviada slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Neicer Bueres. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. Emelec's Neicer Bueres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Zalon in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Zunbeltz Sevane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Murillo Langarica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murillo Langarica stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Neicer Bueres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilson Laviada in the 52nd minute of play. Emelec's Neicer Bueres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos-Alberto Bojorquez in the 54th minute of play. Neicer Bueres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Zalon in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Vilson Laviada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Emelec's Neicer Bueres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Xinaro Brugos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ysmael Garabito charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ysmael Garabito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to CD Yungulla getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ysmael Garabito hit a great ball. Xinaro Brugos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Teo Regil came out and tried to block the shot, but Xinaro Brugos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 70th minute. When Xinaro Brugos, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 75 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Teo Regil was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xinaro Brugos in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teo Regil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th match minute, CD Yungulla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ysmael Elorduy to maneuver through the defense. Murillo Langarica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Emelec booed when CD Yungulla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Ascarraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teo Regil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xinaro Brugos in the 96th minute of the match. The Emelec players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented CD Yungulla from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
