Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rosario Huerga started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vela Bascal got free with Batista Alaña in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the game, Adrianinho Varela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Cuenca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Masacs the free kick. In the 9th match minute, CD Cuenca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Varela to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match Estrada España shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Batista Alaña showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Masacs's Vachon Beyso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frutos Mendoza in the 15th minute of play. Vachon Beyso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rosario Huerga's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Rosario Huerga struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Vachon Beyso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Cuenca. Adrianinho Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Waldemar Adamski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vachon Beyso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Frutos Mendoza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vachon Beyso having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodolfo Miguel to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Vachon Beyso managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when CD Cuenca's Rosario Huerga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Masacs getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Urdaspal Manterola hit a great ball. CD Cuenca's Frutos Mendoza got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rosario Huerga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vachon Beyso was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Humberto Villagomez. Rosario Huerga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Vachon Beyso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Waldemar Adamski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Vachon Beyso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monge Rebollar kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Vachon Beyso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frutos Mendoza, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 78 minutes of play, Masacs's Vela Bascal made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Batista Alaña was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frutos Mendoza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vachon Beyso having to interfere. If Waldemar Adamski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Batista Alaña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quiróz Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 87 minutes of play, Masacs's Urdaspal Manterola made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Batista Alaña was left in no man's land by his defense there! Masacs's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
