CD Tuncay's players were relieved. Peter Berga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Arcaya in the 8th minute of the match. Rolando Tofino's late challenge caught a Zancudo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolando Tofino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, one of CD Tuncay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CD Tuncay. The goalkeeper, David Noriega, was totally fooled by Zancudo's Mendez Asas, who 12 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Cevallos Melon succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. A hard shot by Cruz Alaez from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got David Noriega's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Tuncay's goalkeeper David Noriega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Genaro Ahijado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoriano Unanue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. David Noriega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victoriano Unanue could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but David Noriega made a huge save. Cevallos Melon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Zancudo's David Noriega threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Genaro Ahijado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. CD Tuncay's Cevallos Melon got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Genaro Ahijado made a kick off. If Marcos Arcaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Zancudo getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Tomas Acereda hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, CD Tuncay's Peter Berga threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcos Arcaya, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Victoriano Unanue recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victoriano Unanue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Noriega having to interfere. Genaro Ahijado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. David Noriega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victoriano Unanue blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Noriega having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Genaro Ahijado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Noriega was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Victoriano Unanue struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. David Noriega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zancudo. After a defensive mix-up in Zancudo's zone, Marcos Arcaya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Berga came out of the goal and Marcos Arcaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cevallos Melon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Noriega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Ahijado in the 83rd minute of play. When Zancudo's Genaro Ahijado in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CD Tuncay's goalie prevented a goal. 87 minutes into the match, Victoriano Unanue notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of CD Tuncay's David Noriega. David Noriega was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Victoriano Unanue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd match minute, CD Tuncay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Checa Gasca to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Genaro Ahijado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Zancudo were the better team. Zancudo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
