The audience thought a goal was coming when Santo Canseco got free with Espiga Pinos in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Garcia Mandojana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Polo Mellado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Polo Mellado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Espiga Pinos made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xesus Fajardo during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 played minutes Chapacoto FC got a freekick which was hit by Xesus Fajardo. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Garcia Mandojana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Etelvina FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Garcia Mandojana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Espiga Pinos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Xuoco Tamaron came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Chapacoto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xuoco Tamaron couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Etelvina FC's goalkeeper Xavier Alanis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Etelvina FC's Xines Rubio got a free kick in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Garcia Mandojana made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Polo Mellado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Garcia Mandojana in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Espiga Pinos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute, Polo Mellado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agustín Lugardo charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustín Lugardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Etelvina FC booed when Chapacoto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Lugardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Espinola Gurruchaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Alanis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 84thth minute of the game Xuoco Tamaron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Etelvina FC's Xavier Alanis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute, Agustín Lugardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
