Ernesto Casiraghi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute, Francisco Alborza made a precise shot to the right of Garrido Proaño. Barquilla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Garrido Proaño was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Fidel Arena capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fidel Arena really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 15th match minute, Barcelona SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romo Dalaje to maneuver through the defense. Agustin Pangua hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 25 minutes Barquilla's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mattias Månsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Barcelona SC's Mattias Månsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Garrido Proaño despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Barcelona SC's Francisco Alborza got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Xove Manzanos fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barquilla's protests and gave Xove Manzanos a yellow card for diving instead. Xove Manzanos kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Agustin Pangua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Fidel Arena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Garrido Proaño. That made the score 3-0 in the 31 minute of play. When Fidel Arena came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Barcelona SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Arena couldn't finish the play. Barcelona SC's Agustin Pangua got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cotera Paratorrecilla during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Cotera Paratorrecilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mattias Månsson came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Barcelona SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mattias Månsson couldn't finish the play. Garrido Proaño was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barcelona SC! If Xurxo Llera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fidel Arena might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Garrido Proaño. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fidel Arena ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th minute, Xurxo Llera made a precise shot to the right of Garrido Proaño. Barquilla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Xurxo Llera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Xurxo Llera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garrido Proaño having to interfere. Ernesto Casiraghi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Feyto in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Fidel Arena made a precise shot to the right of Garrido Proaño. Barquilla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Sebastian Cuadro's late challenge caught a Barcelona SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Cuadro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Barcelona SC booed when Barquilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Cuadro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Fidel Arena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Garrido Proaño was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. If Fidel Arena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xurxo Llera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Barcelona SC defense, Pedro Feyto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Casiraghi. The Barcelona SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Casiraghi should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Barcelona SC fully deserved thier win.
