The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match Ayoví Pertierra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Esterilla Vizcarra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Vermudo Ocejo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Casado Pidrola. Vermudo Ocejo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. CD Villao's Casado Pidrola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vermudo Ocejo in the 9th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Walter Corullon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Villao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Walter Corullon hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Vermudo Ocejo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the game, CD Villao's Rubio Guio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Esterilla Vizcarra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The supporters of Águilas FC booed when CD Villao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ayoví Pertierra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rubio Guio charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rubio Guio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th match minute, CD Villao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubio Guio to maneuver through the defense. Xuoco Luengas made in the 33rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and López Melgar immediately put the ball in play. Ramon Obeso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Ramon Obeso managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Villao's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Obeso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esterilla Vizcarra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as CD Villao's Rubio Guio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Esterilla Vizcarra. That made the score 1-3 after 56 minutes of play. Casado Pidrola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvis Ibarlucea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CD Villao's Luisão Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rubio Guio got free with Esterilla Vizcarra in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute, Rubio Guio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd match minute, Águilas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xuoco Luengas to maneuver through the defense. Luisão Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubio Guio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Esterilla Vizcarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Águilas FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CD Villao were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
