After a rather tough play, Cuenca FC's Bagui Villarias got a free kick in the 18th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cuenca FC's zone, Peter Blasini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolás Mojon came out of the goal and Peter Blasini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Blasini got free with Nicolás Mojon in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Peter Blasini took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Nicolás Mojon to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of GRIM REAPER METAL FUTBOL booed when Cuenca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xinto Pereda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cuenca FC's goalkeeper Nicolás Mojon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Luzuriaga Carradelo fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GRIM REAPER METAL FUTBOL's protests and gave Luzuriaga Carradelo a yellow card for diving instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vellito Vara to make the kick off. The GRIM REAPER METAL FUTBOL fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when GRIM REAPER METAL FUTBOL's Peter Blasini looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. GRIM REAPER METAL FUTBOL's Peter Blasini got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
