Rolando Cancel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xantalen Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After 3 played minutes Futboro SC got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Churruca. Futboro SC's Cortez Pla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Urdaspal in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Gonzalo Urdaspal made a precise shot to the right of Cortez Pla. Futboro SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Fausto Churruca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgardo Dalmau hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Futboro SC's Xantalen Ramos tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Rodríguez Arbe notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Futboro SC's Cortez Pla. Cortez Pla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Futboro SC booed when Selvayacu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Azcaraso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Cancel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xantalen Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cortez Pla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Gagriel in the 26th minute of play. Arévalo Lecin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Rolando Cancel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cortez Pla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Artaldo in the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Edgardo Dalmau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cortez Pla. Futboro SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgardo Dalmau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 46th minute Aristides Artaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cortez Pla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xantalen Ramos was the one to do the kick off. Cortez Pla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Azcaraso in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th minute, Aristides Artaldo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Selvayacu SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 59th minute Paulino Gagriel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cortez Pla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Futboro SC defense, Paulino Gagriel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cortez Pla. The Futboro SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cortez Pla should have stopped the shot. Cortez Pla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Artaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute Xantalen Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Cancel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cortez Pla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aristides Artaldo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 68 minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Paulino Gagriel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cortez Pla, 1-7. Cortez Pla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Sokol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Futboro SC booed when Selvayacu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Morana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cortez Pla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Gagriel, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Futboro SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Edgardo Dalmau scored to the left of an out of position Cortez Pla, making the score, 1-9. Selvayacu SC played a much better game than Futboro SC and deserved their victory. The Futboro SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
